Head Coach & Founder of Jackson Cricket
Simon Jackson
He is a former first-class and List A opening batsman from Jamaica. Simon has represented Jamaica, Combined Campuses & Colleges as well as the prestigious Vice Chancellors XI in the West Indies. He has played alongside and against numerous international stars during his seven-year professional playing career. After retiring from first class cricket, Simon continued to ply his trade as an overseas professional in the UK before permanently residing here in 2017. Since then, he has continued his journey into the coaching profession with various stints in both the participation and performance programmes at the Surrey CCC, MCC, The ACE Programme, Jersey Cricket and The ECB City Cup among others. He is currently pursuing his ECB Specialist Coaching Qualification (Level 4) and is employed in a full-time role, as the Cricket Academy Head Coach at the impressive Whitgift School in Surrey. Simon is also the Head Coach of Middlesex County Premiership Champions, Crouch End CC. Simon along with his team of Jackson Cricket coaches aim to provide top quality cricket coaching and mentoring to individuals or groups interested in this great sport.

Lead Coach
Jennifer Jackson
A former professional player for Kent; Jennifer recently transitioned back into full time cricket as the Regional Talent Manager for the South East Stars. She is tasked with identifying, developing and managing talented female cricketers across Kent and Surrey; ensuring the standard of the next generation of professional cricketers is higher than ever. Jenn is currently enrolled on the ECB Level 4 Specialist Cricket Coach Qualification with a focus on Spin & Fast Bowling. Her time outside of the sport was not unproductive as she worked as a Specialist Teacher within the Education Sector and also earned a Masters in Criminology & Forensic Psychology. Jenn is a great addition to the Jackson Cricket coaching team and is eager to help our programmes, players and staff develop.

Specialist Coach
Jake Dunford
Jake is a current international wicket-keeper batter with the Jersey National Cricket Team with significant First Class, List A and T20 International experience. He holds an ECB Level 3 Advanced Coaching Qualification and has been involved in cricket coaching from the grassroots to the elite level in a variety of roles around the world (including New Zealand & Japan). Jake is also a Durham University graduate gaining a 2:1 in BA (hons) Sport, Exercise and Physical Activity undergraduate degree. He brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm to Jackson Cricket and is eager to spread his passion for Wicket Keeping and Batting to as many cricketers as possible.

Curriculum & Coach Developer
Ian Read
Ian is a recent addition to the Jackson Cricket team and is responsible for providing planning and mentoring support to our cricket programmes. He holds an ECB Level 3 Advanced Coaching Qualification and brings over 20 years of cricket development and coaching experience through roles carried out at Surrey CCC, Oxted & Limpsfield CC, and a range of schools in both the State and Independent sectors. At present, Ian oversees the coaching schedule at OLCC and remains actively involved with cricket delivery across the club. This, combined with current roles in the education environment will see Ian add important value to our service.
