Service Description

The High Performance Fast Bowling Academy is designed for ambitious fast bowlers who are serious about improving their game and committed to learning, developing and maximising their potential. Led by former England Test fast bowler and County Cricket Head Coach Richard Johnson, this specialist programme will provide players with a comprehensive understanding of what it takes to succeed as a fast bowler in the modern game. Players will also benefit from a variety of guest coaches and current or former professional cricketers throughout the programme. Sessions will combine technical development, tactical awareness, physical preparation and performance-based skill acquisition through a blend of coaching, practical application and game-related activities. Players will develop the knowledge, habits and skills required to perform consistently and confidently in competitive environments. The modern fast bowler requires far more than the ability to bowl quickly and accurately. Throughout the programme, players will be exposed to the complete skill set required to become a more effective and impactful cricketer, including: - Fast bowling technique and skill development - Tactical awareness and game planning - Match analysis and performance review - Strength and Conditioning specific to fast bowlers - Workload management and injury prevention principles - Batting skills for modern fast bowlers - Fielding and athletic development - Mental skills, preparation and performance habits Participants will train in a challenging, supportive, high-performance environment that encourages players to take ownership of their development, embrace learning opportunities, and strive for continual improvement. The coaching team will work closely with players to provide individual feedback, helping each participant identify strengths, areas for development & clear performance goals. Training Kit: All participants are required to wear a Jackson Cricket Training Top during sessions. New training kit can be purchased through our Club Shop - TBC. Returning participants may continue to wear their current Jackson Cricket Training Top. N.B. Programme details may occasionally be adjusted where necessary. This could include changes to session times, venue locations, guest coaches or planned activities. Any changes will be communicated in advance wherever possible.
